New Jersey Governor Sherrill to Campaign in Arizona for Governor Hobbs
New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill will travel to Arizona on Sunday, October 25, to campaign for Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs at a Copper State Victory rally, NJ Globe reported on October 23. State Senate President Scutari will serve as acting governor during Sherrill's trip.
Polling in the Arizona governor's race is tight: GrayHouse shows Hobbs ahead 51 to 45 percent, HighGround 50.5 to 33.7 percent, and the DDHQ average stands at 50.6 to 43.8 percent.
Governors commonly cross state lines to campaign for fellow party candidates during election season; the midterm elections will be held November 3.
