德克萨斯州选民注意：为11月3日大选申请邮寄选票的截止日就是今天（10月23日）。与不少州不同，德州以县早期投票书记官「收到」申请的时间为准，10月23日的邮戳不能证明及时提交。
通过电子邮件或传真提交的普通申请还多一步要求：纸质原件须在10月29日前寄达县府。
以奥斯汀所在的特拉维斯县（Travis County）为例，该县登记选民约94万人，已收到约27,000份邮寄选票申请；提前投票已于10月19日开始、至10月30日结束，全县设44个投票点、每日上午7时至晚7时开放。县书记官 Dyana Limon-Mercado 的办公室负责本县选举事务。大选投票日为11月3日。

Texas Mail Ballot Application Deadline Is Today: Receipt by County Controls, Not Postmark
Texas voters face a hard deadline today, October 23, to apply for a mail ballot for the November 3 general election. Unlike in many states, timeliness in Texas is measured by when the county early-voting clerk receives the application — a postmark dated October 23 is not enough.
Voters who submit a regular application by email or fax face an extra step: the mailed paper original must reach the county by October 29.
In Travis County, home to Austin, about 940,000 voters are registered and roughly 27,000 mail-ballot applications have been received. Early voting runs October 19 to 30 at 44 sites open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. County Clerk Dyana Limon-Mercado's office administers the county's elections. Election Day is November 3.
