F1 United States Grand Prix Runs October 23–25 in Austin; Apple TV Broadcast Adds Dolby Atmos for the First Time
AUSTIN, Texas — The 2026 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, in Austin, Travis County, Texas, runs October 23–25 at Circuit of The Americas. F1 and Apple TV have signed a five-year U.S. media-rights deal starting in 2026, with all sessions streaming on Apple TV and select races and every practice session free in the Apple TV app. The race broadcast uses Dolby Atmos audio and includes an augmented-reality iPad feature, "F1 Atlas," showing live timing and 3D track graphics. Selected U.S. races will also screen in IMAX theaters, with the Austin race among the candidates under discussion. Kimi Antonelli took his first career win at the previous round and arrives in form; another win here would make him the story of the weekend, and the championship fight between McLaren and Red Bull is equally intense. Local groups including the Austin EV Association have scheduled companion events during race week: on October 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Mercedes-Benz charging team offers free charging and VR racing simulators at The Domain charging hub.
