San Diego 'Same Day Solutions' Fair on October 23 at Snapdragon Stadium: One-Stop Legal and Benefits Help for People Experiencing Homelessness
SAN DIEGO, California — In San Diego, San Diego County, California, the District Attorney's CARE Center, together with the Public Defender's Office, the City Attorney's Office, the Superior Court and the county health and human services agency's homeless solutions division, hosts the Same Day Solutions Fair (also known as the Homeless Court Resource Fair) on Friday, October 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Yellow Parking Lot at Snapdragon Stadium. These pop-up events rotate monthly among locations around San Diego County and serve people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, offering one-stop connections to housing navigation, legal aid (including Homeless Court), public benefits enrollment, substance-use treatment referrals, child support services, DMV business and birth-certificate services, with the Live Well San Diego mobile services vehicle on site. Organizers say the event is open to everyone and offers free parking. San Diego State University (SDSU) is one of the event's partner organizations.
