Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent Meets Paraguayan President Santiago Peña on Economic Partnership and Critical Minerals Supply Chains
The U.S. Department of the Treasury released a readout on Oct. 22 stating that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent met that day in Washington with Paraguayan President Santiago Peña.
According to the readout, the two discussed the growing economic partnership between the United States and Paraguay and opportunities to strengthen cooperation on shared priorities. Secretary Bessent welcomed Paraguay's commitment to strengthening secure and resilient critical minerals supply chains.
