Austin Launches Data and Insights Hub Centralizing City Public Data in One Place
AUSTIN, Texas — The City of Austin, in Travis County, Texas, announced on October 21 the launch of a new Data and Insights Hub, a single platform that centralizes public data published by city departments for residents, businesses and researchers. The hub was published on the city's website by the Budget and Organizational Excellence department.
City officials said the platform is intended to make municipal data easier to find and understand, covering budgets, services and city operations, and to replace the previous pattern in which datasets sat scattered across separate department pages. The hub is part of the city's open-data and transparency work, and residents can reach it through the City of Austin website. (GSM, based on the City of Austin announcement)
