Houston：苹果重申 Mac mini 今年内在当地富士康工厂启动美国组装

Houston: Apple Reiterates Mac mini Assembly in the U.S. Will Begin Later This Year at Foxconn's Houston Plant
In Houston, Harris County, Texas, Apple has reiterated a key piece of its U.S. manufacturing plans. In an October 20 press release on the latest commitments under its American Manufacturing Program, Apple said assembly of the Mac mini desktop computer in the United States will begin later this year, with Foxconn expected to build the computer at a facility in Houston, Texas. Apple's operations chief Sabih Khan said earlier this year that Mac mini units assembled in the U.S. would primarily serve the U.S. market, while production would continue in Asia for orders placed abroad. The American Manufacturing Program is part of Apple's previously announced U.S. investment commitments, and the Houston site is one of the locations in its expanding domestic manufacturing footprint.
