Hesperia Gang Team Finds About Two Ounces of Fentanyl in Traffic Stop: Apple Valley Man Arrested, Two Home Searches Yield More Drugs and Cash
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department in California announced on October 20 that investigators from the Hesperia Station Gang Team had arrested Eric Claudio, 31, of Apple Valley, after a traffic stop on October 16 at about 4:05 p.m. near Bear Valley Road and Mariposa Road in Hesperia. A search of Claudio's vehicle turned up approximately two ounces of fentanyl, an ounce of heroin, and a digital scale.
Investigators then obtained search warrants for Claudio's residence in Apple Valley and another location in Hesperia, seizing additional quantities of fentanyl and U.S. currency from both residences. The department did not disclose the amount of cash or the exact location of the second site.
Claudio was booked into the High Desert Detention Center on charges of possession of controlled substances with the intent to sell (Health and Safety Code 11351) and possession of a controlled substance for sale (Health and Safety Code 11378). The case number is 192606601.
