Indian Epic 'Ramayana: Part 1' to Hold World Premiere at Academy Museum in Los Angeles on Oct. 27
The Indian epic 'Ramayana: Part 1' will hold its world premiere on Oct. 27 at the David Geffen Theatre of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, ahead of a global theatrical release on Nov. 5, according to the film's distributors. The invite-only premiere is expected to host about 945 guests for a 3D screening and red-carpet event.
Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, the two-part adaptation of the Indian epic carries a combined budget of about Rs 4,000 crore by the makers' account, with more than 10,000 technicians involved worldwide and Sony handling distribution outside India. Filmmaker SS Rajamouli publicly praised the project after a new international trailer was shared on Oct. 17. The second installment is planned for Diwali 2027.
