红辣椒与Dave Grohl为银湖音乐学校25周年义演 多首尘封多年的旧歌重现舞台

LOS ANGELES — Red Hot Chili Peppers and Dave Grohl performed rarely played songs on Saturday night, October 17, at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, headlining a benefit marking the 25th anniversary of the Silverlake Conservatory of Music.
The nonprofit school was co-founded in 2001 by Chili Peppers bassist Flea and Keith "Tree" Barry. It teaches more than 1,000 students a week, with over 200 scholarship students receiving free lessons, instruments and supplies. This year's benefit was the first opened to the public rather than held as a private gala, with organizers setting a fundraising goal of about $1.5 million for the school's programs.
The Chili Peppers opened with an instrumental jam before reaching deep into their catalog in a 10-song set: "Organic Anti-Beat Box Band" from 1987's The Uplift Mofo Party Plan was performed live for the first time since 2000, as was "Blackeyed Blonde" from 1985's Freaky Styley. "Nevermind," also from Freaky Styley, was played live with guitarist John Frusciante for the first time since 1992, and Frusciante also sang a solo cover of Carole King's "Will You Love Me Tomorrow?" Dave Grohl followed with a seven-song performance spanning "Times Like These" and "My Hero" and covers of Mose Allison and X, joined by his daughter Violet Grohl. The highlight came when his Foo Fighters bandmates took the stage to revive the band's early cover of Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street," performed live for the first time since 2007. Rapper Vince Staples also performed, and comedian Marc Maron hosted the evening.
