ESPN College GameDay Picks Salt Lake City for Week 8: Utah Hosts Houston in Top-20 Showdown
SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City is a city in Salt Lake County, Utah. ESPN's College GameDay announced on Sunday, October 18, that its Week 8 show will travel to Salt Lake City for the expected top-20 matchup between Utah and Houston on Saturday, October 24, at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Kickoff is set for 10:15 p.m. ET.
Under first-year head coach Morgan Scalley, Utah is 6-0 overall and 3-0 in Big 12 play after holding off Colorado 27-24 on the road on Saturday. Houston is 6-1 and 3-1 in the conference, riding a four-game winning streak after quarterback Conner Weigman's five-touchdown day lifted the Cougars past No. 20 Oklahoma State 35-32.
It is GameDay's third visit to Salt Lake City in the last four seasons; the show was in Provo last week for BYU's game against Notre Dame, making it two straight weeks in Utah.
