（GSM 据Rock Documented、Billboard、The Detroit News报道）
[Video] Kid Rock Releases First Christian Album 'Halfway 2 Jesus'; Eminem Collaboration Arrives With Official Lyric Video
Kid Rock released 'Halfway 2 Jesus,' his first full Christian album, on October 17 via Top Dog Records. The 17-track record is led by 'Heal My Faith,' featuring Eminem, which arrived with an official lyric video. Rock told Billboard the collaboration changed late in production: Eminem first agreed to the song about a year earlier, then asked to record '7 Sins' instead, and finally suggested returning to 'Heal My Faith' after the track listing was announced. His verse looks back on their friendship, including time at the Oakwood Apartments and Rock's encouragement at an early Slim Shady release show; the two first collaborated on 'Fuck Off' from Rock's 1998 album 'Devil Without a Cause.' The finished verse reached Rock on October 11 — 'It brought me to tears,' he told The Detroit News. Lil Wayne filled the opening on '7 Sins,' with his verse mixed and mastered on October 14. Gary LeVox and Jimmie Allen appear on the title track, and lead single 'James 1:17 (Jesus Is King)' preceded the album. The record follows 2022's 'Bad Reputation'; Rock also told The Detroit News he used the SI tool Suno on elements of some tracks, while the bulk of the songs were performed by musicians together.
