Austin Film Festival Unveils 33rd Edition Lineup; Sally Field to Star in Live Reading of Unproduced Screenplay 'Wild Four O'Clocks'
The 33rd Austin Film Festival will run from October 29 to November 5, 2026, in Austin, Texas. In an announcement on October 14, the festival said select advance general-admission tickets are now on sale, and added a live reading to its Writers Conference programme: actress Sally Field will headline a reading of 'Wild Four O'Clocks,' an unproduced screenplay by Oscar nominee Peter Craig, alongside Odessa Young and Mac Brandt. The festival noted that the advance tickets apply to selected Marquee Features and do not guarantee entry ahead of badge and pass holders.
The announcement also named guests attending premieres: Ben Foster and Manny Jacinto for Nicholas Arioli's 'The Stalemate'; Adrianne Palicki for 'Remote'; Geena Pietromonaco and Zach Gilford for 'Christmas Pop-Up'; and Deacon Phillippe and Chandler Riggs for the Texas premiere of 'Brother Save Us.' Known for its writer-focused programme, the festival showcases narrative, documentary and animated work, with regional, national and world premieres among its annual selections.
