Disney Animation Unveils Trailer for 'Hexed,' Its 65th Feature, Opening November 25
Walt Disney Animation Studios released the official trailer on Monday for "Hexed," its 65th animated feature, opening in theaters on November 25, 2026, for the Thanksgiving holiday, and coming to Disney+ in 2027.
The film follows Billie Doe, an impulsive and unconventional teenager (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld), who discovers secret magical abilities that hurtle her out of suburbia into Hexe, a vast witch realm. Forced to team up with her cautious mother, Alice (voiced by Rashida Jones), she uncovers family mysteries that could change the world of witches forever. The voice cast includes two-time Academy Award winner Jodie Foster as the sinister Queen Celeste, Walton Goggins as a reclusive three-eyed cat, Henry Winkler as Nigel, an all-knowing potoo bird, and Dan Stevens as the Queen's Grand Councilor, alongside Tracey Ullman, Stephen Fry, Jimmy O. Yang, Randall Park and Alan Tudyk.
"Hexed" is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, co-directed by Josie Trinidad, produced by Roy Conli and Yvett Merino, and written by Disney Animation chief creative officer Jared Bush and Dana Ledoux Miller. The trailer features a cinematic rendition of Paramore's "Ain't It Fun."
