49ers Thursday injury report: Evans, Bosa and Deebo sit out ahead of Falcons trip
SANTA CLARA, California — The San Francisco 49ers, based in Santa Clara County, California, listed several starters as non-participants in Thursday's practice report: wide receiver Mike Evans (Achilles/ribs), defensive end Nick Bosa (knee/calf) and wide receiver Deebo Samuel (hamstring) all sat out, clouding their status for Sunday's road game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Evans has missed two straight days since leaving Monday night's game at halftime with the Achilles injury. Bosa's outlook is also uncertain: head coach Kyle Shanahan had hoped on Wednesday that he would return to practice Thursday, but he did not. If Bosa sits out again Friday, his return may have to wait until after the team's bye week. In better news, defensive lineman Mykel Williams (knee) returned to limited practice and wide receiver Christian Kirk (calf) was a full participant. Linebacker Dre Greenlaw took part in individual work for a second straight day and could pair with Fred Warner against Falcons star running back Bijan Robinson.
For Atlanta, running back Brian Robinson (hamstring) did not practice, while cornerback AJ Terrell (groin) was limited.
