Can Gaming Earn a Scholarship? A Look at U.S. College Esports
Hundreds of U.S. colleges now field varsity esports teams, and some offer dedicated scholarships in titles like League of Legends, Valorant and Rocket League. For Chinese-American families this is a real, if narrow, admissions lane — with caveats: awards are usually modest and bundled with academic aid, training schedules are demanding, and grades still rule. Treat esports as a talent bonus, not a shortcut; choose schools on academics first, and confirm scholarship details on each university's official site. (Compiled by GSM.)
