据CNN 10月2日报道，特朗普总统预计将任命国家情报总监杰伊·克莱顿（Jay Clayton）出任新设的白宫人工智能事务负责人（AI czar），最早可能于周五宣布。克莱顿曾任曼哈顿联邦检察官，并在特朗普首个任期内执掌证交会（SEC）。特朗普上月宣布成立"AI部队"并设立AI沙皇一职，以应对技术飞速发展带来的监管呼声。
Trump Expected to Name DNI Jay Clayton as White House "AI Czar"
President Trump is expected to name Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton as the new White House AI czar, CNN reported October 2, with an announcement possible as early as Friday. Clayton previously served as U.S. Attorney for Manhattan and led the Securities and Exchange Commission during Trump's first term. Trump announced last month the creation of an "AI force" and the AI czar role to answer growing calls for oversight as the technology advances rapidly.
