极端高温本周末袭击内陆帝国,Temecula直冲100度;县消防站10月10日开放参观

美国国家气象局(NWS)警告,极端高温将从本周五起笼罩内陆帝国并持续到下周中。Temecula谷地周五至周日白天最高气温将达三位数,周四还在90多度徘徊,夜间低温则从周四的60度左右升至70多度;河滨市区周五起每天最高气温在100度上下,科切拉谷地更是直逼110度大关。居民应多补水、避免正午户外活动,并照看好老人和宠物。
与此同时,河滨县消防局宣布在"消防预防周"期间开放十余个消防站供公众参观,时间为10月10日(周六)上午11点至下午2点,包括Temecula第12消防站(28330 Mercedes St)、Menifee、Lake Elsinore、Moreno Valley等站点。活动免费、适合全家参加,民众可近距离参观消防车辆、向消防员提问。今年主题是"插电、充电、保安全"(Plug in, power up, stay safe),消防员将重点讲解电子设备正确充电方法,减少家庭火灾隐患。
Extreme Heat Hits Inland Empire This Weekend, Temecula Nears 100°F; County Fire Stations Open Oct. 10
The National Weather Service warns extreme heat will blanket the Inland Empire starting Friday and last into midweek. Daytime highs in the Temecula Valley will hit triple digits Friday through Sunday, after hovering in the 90s Thursday; overnight lows climb from the 60s Thursday into the 70s. Riverside will hover around 100°F daily from Friday, while the Coachella Valley pushes toward 110°F. Residents should stay hydrated, avoid midday outdoor activity, and check on seniors and pets.
Meanwhile, the Riverside County Fire Department will open more than a dozen fire stations to the public during Fire Prevention Week, Saturday October 10, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., including Temecula Fire Station 12 (28330 Mercedes St), Menifee, Lake Elsinore and Moreno Valley. The free, family-friendly event offers close-up looks at fire apparatus and Q&A with firefighters. This year's theme, "Plug in, power up, stay safe," focuses on proper charging of electronic devices to reduce home fire risks.
