特朗普宣布爱荷华州建美国史上最大钢铁厂 Mesabi Metallics拟投资150亿美元
美国总统特朗普9月30日在爱荷华州宣布，美萨比金属公司（Mesabi Metallics）将在该州建设美国历史上最大的钢铁厂，总投资约150亿美元。建成投产后，新厂每年可生产钢铁1000万吨。
特朗普在活动上感谢了爱荷华州州长雷诺兹、州代表团以及州总检察长布伦纳·伯德的支持，商务部长卢特尼克、能源部长赖特及美萨比公司团队一同出席。他称美萨比是世界上最大的公司之一，新厂将成为美国最大的钢铁厂。
该项目是特朗普政府推动制造业回流政策的又一例证。
Trump Announces Largest Steel Plant in U.S. History: Mesabi Metallics to Invest $15 Billion in Iowa
President Trump announced in Iowa on Sept 30 that Mesabi Metallics will build the largest steel plant in American history in the state, a roughly $15 billion investment. Once completed, the new plant will produce 10 million tons of steel per year. Trump thanked Iowa Governor Reynolds, the Iowa delegation and Attorney General Brenna Bird; Commerce Secretary Lutnick, Energy Secretary Wright and the Mesabi team joined the event. The project is another example of the administration's manufacturing reshoring push.
