南非在反移民抗议后暂停难民与庇护申请受理
据南非媒体10月14日报道，南非政府已暂时停止受理难民与庇护申请。此前，索韦托与德班10月8日发生反移民抗议并出现暴力。今年7月7日，南非宪法法院裁定无证移民可以提出庇护申请。总统拉马福萨宣布了多线应对措施，包括遣返行动、加强边境安全与移民法改革。政府表示，暂停受理是应对措施的一部分。
South Africa Suspends Refugee and Asylum Applications After Anti-Immigrant Protests
South African media reported on October 14 that the government has temporarily suspended the intake of refugee and asylum applications. The move follows anti-immigrant protests that turned violent on October 8 in Soweto and Durban. On July 7, the Constitutional Court ruled that undocumented migrants may apply for asylum. President Cyril Ramaphosa announced a multi-pronged response including deportations, tighter border security and immigration-law reform. The government said the suspension of applications forms part of that response.
