CNN Global Perspectives Holds Inaugural Asia Edition in Bangkok; TAT Joins as Supporting Partner
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) said on October 14 that the inaugural Asia edition of CNN Global Perspectives was held that day at The Ritz-Carlton in Bangkok, with TAT participating as a supporting partner. The event was staged alongside the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in the Thai capital.
The programme opened with remarks by Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and featured Bank of Korea Governor Hyun Song Shin, DBS Group Chief Executive Tan Su Shan, Siam Piwat Group Chief Executive Chadatip Chutrakul, Danantara Indonesia Chief Investment Officer Pandu Sjahrir, and Academy Award-winning creator Maggie Kang.
TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said the gathering gave Thailand an opportunity to place tourism within a wider national context, and that TAT presented Thailand as a 'Global Wellness Destination' through CNN's global platform.
