F1 Signs 10-Year Deal for Rwandan Grand Prix in Bugesera From Early 2030s
Reuters and other outlets reported that Formula 1 has announced a 10-year deal for Rwanda to host the African Grand Prix from the early 2030s at a new FIA Grade 1 circuit in Bugesera, about 40 kilometres from Kigali and next to the new international airport under construction. F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali announced the agreement in Kigali alongside President Paul Kagame. It would be the first F1 race in Africa since South Africa hosted in 1993.
