北卡选举委员会将致信1392名被联邦数据库标记的登记选民
北卡罗来纳州选举委员会10月13日发布消息，将向1392名经联邦SAVE数据库标记的登记选民寄送信件，请收信人核实其选民资格信息。
州选举委员会表示，北卡全州登记选民约790万，此次被标记的1392人约占0.02%。收信选民可自愿申请将自己从选民名册中除名，或向选举部门提交公民身份证明文件以更新记录。
委员会强调，收到信件并不意味着选民资格被自动取消，相关人员的登记状态在核实完成前维持不变；寄信是名册维护程序的一部分。
州选举委员会提醒，收信人如有疑问可联系所在县的选举委员会办公室，或通过州选举委员会官网查询处理方式。
North Carolina Elections Board to Write 1,392 Registrants Flagged in Federal Database
The North Carolina State Board of Elections announced Oct. 13 that it will send letters to 1,392 registered voters who were flagged through the federal SAVE database, asking them to verify their registration information.
The board said North Carolina has about 7.9 million registered voters, and the 1,392 flagged registrants amount to roughly 0.02% of the total. Recipients may voluntarily ask to be removed from the voter rolls or submit proof of citizenship to update their records.
The board emphasized that receiving a letter does not automatically cancel a person's registration, and flagged voters' status remains unchanged until verification is complete. The mailing is part of routine voter-list maintenance.
Voters with questions can contact their county board of elections or check the state board's website for instructions, the agency said.
