梅尼菲市任命资深员工科尔内霍为首席财务官 接替赴博蒙特任职的希基
河滨县梅尼菲市政府10月14日宣布，任命玛格丽塔·科尔内霍（Margarita Cornejo）为市首席财务官，接替离任的特拉维斯·希基（Travis Hickey）。市政府表示，希基已转赴博蒙特市任职。
科尔内霍是梅尼菲市的资深员工，出任首席财务官前担任市战略计划与倡议主任，此前曾任代理首席财务官、财务副主任和财务服务经理等职。据市政府介绍，她持有加州大学洛杉矶分校经济学学士学位，是政府财政官员协会（GFOA）和加州城市财务官协会（CSMFO）的会员。
城市经理阿曼多·G·比利亚（Armando G. Villa）在市府新闻稿中表示：“玛格丽塔对本市的财务运作有丰富的了解，过去几年为财务部的成功发挥了关键作用。梅尼菲市能保持强劲的财务状况，很大程度上得益于她的领导；她也是本市持续投资员工、帮助员工成长成才的杰出范例。”科尔内霍表示：“我很感激这次机会，并致力于守护本市的财政、支持我们的财务团队。为这个社区服务一直是极大的荣幸，我期待提供健全的财务管理和战略规划，引导梅尼菲市持续增长与成功。”
市政府介绍，该市财务部曾获政府财政官员协会杰出预算展示奖，并连续13年获得财务报告卓越成就证书。2021年梅尼菲市首次获得杰出预算展示奖时，随奖颁发的预算展示表彰证书即授予时任财务服务经理的科尔内霍。
City of Menifee Appoints Longtime Staffer Margarita Cornejo as Chief Financial Officer
The City of Menifee announced on October 14 that Margarita Cornejo has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Travis Hickey, who has departed to take a position with the City of Beaumont.
Cornejo is a longtime Menifee employee. She most recently served as the city's Director of Strategic Programs and Initiatives, and previously served as Acting Chief Financial Officer, Deputy Finance Director and Financial Services Manager. According to the city, she holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO).
"Margarita has a wealth of knowledge regarding the City's financial operations and has played a critical role in the department's success over the last several years," City Manager Armando G. Villa said in the city's release. "Menifee remains in a strong financial position thanks in large part to her leadership and she is a shining example of how our City is continuing to invest in our employees to help them grow and thrive." Cornejo said: "I am grateful for this opportunity and am committed to safeguarding our City's finances and supporting our finance team. Serving this community continues to be a great honor and I look forward to helping provide the sound financial stewardship and strategic planning needed to guide Menifee's continued growth and success."
The city said its Finance Department has received the GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award and earned the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for 13 consecutive years. When Menifee won its first Distinguished Budget Presentation Award in 2021, the accompanying Certificate of Recognition for Budget Presentation was presented to Cornejo, then the city's Financial Services Manager.
