Trump Rallies in Wasilla for Sen. Sullivan, Endorses Wilson for Alaska Governor
President Donald Trump held a rally in Wasilla, Alaska, on Oct. 13, campaigning for U.S. Sen. Dan Sullivan's re-election and endorsing Bernadette Wilson for governor, according to Reuters and Alaska news outlets.
Speaking in Wasilla, Trump praised Sullivan's work in the Senate and said Wilson was the right choice for governor. The governor's race and the Senate race are the marquee contests of Alaska's election season this year.
Former Anchorage Mayor Dave Bronson, who is also seeking the governorship, denied reports the same day that he would drop out of the race, saying he would continue campaigning.
Alaska's primary and general election schedule is set by state election officials, and campaigns have been holding events across the state in recent weeks.
