戈登连签行政令放宽农产与燃油运输限制 应对干旱与高油价

Gordon Signs Executive Orders Easing Farm and Fuel Transport Rules Amid Drought, High Gas Prices
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Gov. Mark Gordon has signed a series of executive orders easing transport rules as drought and high fuel prices squeeze the state's farm and trucking sectors. Executive Order 2026-09 temporarily relaxes height, width and weight limits for hauling all agricultural products, aiding this year's harvest and outbound shipments.
For fuel, Executive Order 2026-10 brings Wyoming under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's regional hours-of-service relief, allowing drivers hauling gasoline, diesel and other fuels to work extended hours during the emergency to keep supplies moving. An earlier order, EO 2026-08, covering livestock and feed transport under drought conditions, has been extended and remains in effect through Nov. 6.
The backdrop is persistent drought and costly fuel: AAA puts Wyoming's average gasoline price at about $4.49 a gallon, roughly 12 cents above the national average, adding to costs for ranchers, farmers and freight haulers. Gordon has noted that relief from state fuel taxes would require action by the Legislature, while his office acts within its own authority.
The orders are temporary and carry fixed expiration dates. State transportation and agriculture officials remind carriers that oversize loads must still meet safety requirements, and that hard limits such as bridge weight postings are not waived.
