华盛顿州立大学弗利研究所10月12日宣布，将与「勇敢天使」组织联合主办一场panel辩论会，聚焦华盛顿州2026年大选中的三项公投案，在11月3日选举日投票前为选民提供正反双方的观点交锋。
三项公投案分别是：第IL26-001号倡议，涉及公立学校中家长对其子女的权利；第IP26-645号倡议，涉及州与地方税收，主张废除对年收入超过100万美元征收9.9%附加税的规定；第IL26-638号倡议，涉及K-12学校体育参赛资格。
辩论嘉宾由州官方选民手册中各案正反方论述的撰写方选派。辩论采用「勇敢天使」结构化赛制，不设胜负，旨在让选民清晰了解每一项公投案的具体内容。辩论会将以线上研讨会形式举行，观众报名时及进行中均可提交问题。

WSU Foley Institute to Co-Host Panel Debate on Washington's Three 2026 Ballot Initiatives
PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University's Foley Institute announced on Oct. 12 that it will co-sponsor a panel debate with Braver Angels on Washington's three 2026 general election ballot initiatives, giving voters a structured pro-and-con exchange before the Nov. 3 election.
The three measures are: Initiative IL26-001, on parents' rights regarding their children in public schools; Initiative IP26-645, on state and local taxes, which would repeal the 9.9% surcharge on annual individual income above $1 million; and Initiative IL26-638, on eligibility to participate in K-12 school athletics.
Panelists are chosen by the authors of the for-and-against arguments in the state's official voters' pamphlet. Braver Angels debates declare no winner; the structured format is designed to make each measure's content clear to voters. The debate will be held as an online webinar, and attendees can submit questions when registering and during the event.
