10月12日，犹他州科顿伍德峡谷迎来今秋首场降雪。索利蒂德山度假村、阿尔塔滑雪场和布莱顿度假村都在社交媒体上分享了降雪画面，四个峡谷滑雪场的实时摄像头都显示山顶有明显积雪，其中阿尔塔报告了本季首次可测量的降雪。
据气象预报，这场风暴将持续至10月14日，高海拔地区累计降雪量可能超过一英尺，山谷地区则以降雨为主。
度假村方面提醒，初秋的这场雪还不足以让雪道开放，但确实为2026-27雪季开了个好头。

First Snow of the Season Falls in Utah's Cottonwood Canyons
SALT LAKE CITY — Utah's Cottonwood Canyons received their first snowfall of the fall on Oct. 12. Solitude Mountain Resort, Alta Ski Area and Brighton Resort all shared snowfall photos on social media, the live cameras at all four canyon resorts showed solid accumulation at the summits, and Alta reported its first measurable snowfall of the season.
The storm is expected to continue through Oct. 14, with high-elevation areas potentially picking up more than a foot of snow in total while valley floors see mainly rain.
Resort operators cautioned that the early-season snow is not enough to open any runs, but it gives the 2026-27 ski season an encouraging start.
