夏威夷公用事业委员会10月19日就普纳卢乌供水卫生中断问题举行公开听证
夏威夷州公用事业委员会（PUC）10月12日发布公告，宣布将于10月19日（周一）晚6点在帕哈拉社区中心举行公开会议，专门讨论普纳卢乌供水与卫生公司（PWS）服务中断问题，回应飓风"拉拉"过后当地居民持续遭遇的断水困境。
根据公告，委员会召开此次会议是因为普纳卢乌地区用户在飓风过后长期无法恢复正常供水。会上，PWS公司须说明当前的抢修进展以及长期恢复计划；受影响的用户将有机会现场发言、提交反馈。委员会鼓励所有受影响居民到场分享亲身经历。用户也可提交书面意见，须注明案卷编号2025-0167，可通过委员会官网在线提交、发邮件或邮寄至火奴鲁鲁南金街465号103室。
公用事业委员会负责监管夏威夷州所有特许公用事业公司，其职责是确保安全、可靠且价格合理的公用事业服务。公告强调，委员会希望借这次面对面会议，直接听到一线用户的声音，推动供水服务尽快恢复正常。
Hawaii PUC to Hold Oct. 19 Public Hearing on Punaluu Water and Sanitation Outage
The Hawaii Public Utilities Commission (PUC) announced on October 12 that it will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 19, at the Pahala Community Center to address service outages at Punaluu Water and Sanitation Company (PWS) and the ongoing water problems residents have faced since Hurricane Lala.
According to the notice, the commission called the meeting because customers in the Punaluu area have been unable to get normal water service restored long after the hurricane. At the meeting, PWS will be required to explain its current repair progress and long-term restoration plans, and affected customers will have a chance to speak in person and submit feedback. The commission encourages all affected residents to attend and share their experiences. Written comments may also be submitted, marked with docket number 2025-0167, via the commission's website, by email, or by mail to Room 103, 465 South King Street, Honolulu.
The PUC regulates all franchised public utilities in Hawaii and is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable and reasonably priced utility service. The commission said it hopes the face-to-face meeting will let it hear directly from front-line customers and push water service back to normal as quickly as possible.
