美森轮船10亿美元新船「马库阿」号举行命名仪式，2027年投入夏威夷航线
美国太平洋航运巨头美森轮船（Matson, NYSE: MATX）10月12日宣布，公司与韩华费城造船厂于10月10日为三艘新建集装箱船中的首艘「马库阿」（Makua）号举行了命名仪式。约300名嘉宾出席，包括美国海事管理局副局长马克·约翰逊、美军运输司令部副司令杰里德·赫尔维格中将，由美森董事珍娜·沃尔主持掷瓶礼。
这三艘船是美森约10亿美元投资计划的核心，均为符合《琼斯法案》的美国本土建造船舶，将投入中国—长滩快线（CLX）及夏威夷航线。新船长850英尺、载重逾5.14万吨、载箱量3600标箱，最高航速近24节，与2018年、2019年交付的「丹尼尔·井上」号和「卡米纳·希拉」号同属「阿罗哈」级——美国有史以来建造的最大集装箱船。
「马库阿」号预计2027年第一季度正式投入运营，将进一步保障夏威夷群岛的物资供应链稳定。

Matson Christens $1 Billion Newbuild 'Makua'; First of Three Aloha Class Ships to Enter Service in 2027
HONOLULU — Matson Inc. (NYSE: MATX) announced on Oct. 12 that it and Hanwha Philly Shipyard christened the first of three new containerships, Makua, on Oct. 10. About 300 guests attended, including U.S. Maritime Administration Deputy Administrator Mark Johnson and U.S. Transportation Command Deputy Commander Lt. Gen. Jered P. Helwig; Matson board member Jenai Wall performed the ceremonial bottle breaking.
The three ships are the core of Matson's roughly $1 billion investment program. All are Jones Act-compliant vessels built in the United States, destined for the China–Long Beach Express (CLX) and Hawaii services. At 850 feet long, more than 51,400 deadweight tons and 3,600 TEU capacity, with a top speed of nearly 24 knots, they match the Aloha Class ships Daniel K. Inouye (2018) and Kamina Hila (2019) — the largest containerships ever built in the United States.
Makua is scheduled to enter service in the first quarter of 2027, further securing the supply chain lifeline to the Hawaiian Islands.
