加州电网扛过极端高温：用电需求创2022年9月以来新高，无轮流停电、无紧急警报
加州州长办公室10月13日宣布，加州电网在本周极端高温期间成功满足了自2022年9月以来最高的用电需求，全程没有轮流停电，也没有发布紧急节能呼吁（Flex Alert）——州政府称，这证明加州的清洁能源转型在最严峻的气候考验下也能保证供电可靠。

加州独立系统运营商（CAISO）称，本周峰值需求达到2022年9月热浪以来的最高水平，电网全程稳定运行；高峰时段太阳能、风能与电池储能提供了绝大部分电力，其中电池储能在晚高峰放电量创下纪录。CAISO总裁兼首席执行官埃利奥特·迈因策说："加州的电网运营方与清洁能源资源在这次关键压力测试中的表现完全符合设计预期。"州战略可靠储备（Strategic Reliability Reserve）全程待命但未被调用。

California Grid Powers Through Extreme Heat, Meeting Highest Demand Since 2022 Without Outages
California's electric grid met its highest demand since September 2022 during this week's extreme heat event without rotating outages or emergency Flex Alerts, Governor Gavin Newsom's office announced October 13. "This week's extreme heat put our grid to the test, and California's clean energy transformation passed with flying colors," Newsom said. The California Independent System Operator (CAISO) reported peak demand at levels not seen since the September 2022 heat wave, with solar, wind and battery storage providing the overwhelming majority of electricity during peak hours and batteries discharging record amounts in the evening. CAISO President and CEO Elliot Mainzer said grid operators and clean energy resources "performed exactly as designed." California now has more than 10,000 megawatts of battery storage connected to the grid — a tenfold increase since 2020 — and has invested more than $50 billion in climate action over the past decade.
