Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent spoke virtually on October 13 with Republic of Korea Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economy Lee Hyoung-il, the Treasury Department said. Bessent congratulated Lee on his new role and underscored the importance of the U.S.–Republic of Korea economic and financial relationship.
