圣胡安卡皮斯特拉诺：电池储能项目申请已撤回
开发商指南针能源（Compass Energy）已于9月1日撤回其向加州能源委员会提交的、拟在圣胡安卡皮斯特拉诺附近建设大型电池储能设施的申请。该项目拟占用约13英亩土地，采用磷酸铁锂电池，因野火风险与距住宅过近引发社区多年反对。开发商表示，撤回原因是找不到合适的替代并网地点，且经济条件发生变化。本次撤回不意味着今后不会再有其他储能项目提出。
San Juan Capistrano: Battery Storage Project Application Withdrawn
Developer Compass Energy on September 1 withdrew its application to the California Energy Commission for a large battery storage facility proposed near San Juan Capistrano. The project, planned for about 13 acres using lithium-iron-phosphate batteries, drew years of community opposition over wildfire risk and proximity to homes. The developer said it could not find an alternative suitable site near the grid connection and that economic conditions had changed. The withdrawal does not rule out other storage projects in the future.
