Firefighters made major progress on the Bike Fire in Santa Clarita on Sunday night, halting the blaze's forward advance with no buildings damaged. All mandatory evacuation orders have been downgraded to evacuation warnings, according to FoxLA.
FoxLA also reported the fire has grown to 172 acres with 68% containment, though that figure is still awaiting official confirmation from CAL FIRE. Earlier official figures put the fire at 275 acres with 12% containment. The downgrade of evacuation orders was corroborated by wildfire tracker fires.cornea.is.
Residents in affected areas should remain alert and follow guidance from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Evacuation warnings mean residents should be prepared to leave if conditions change.
