Burbank Reminds Residents to Join Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill Oct. 15 at 10:15 a.m.
The City of Burbank's newsroom posted an Oct. 12 reminder urging all residents to take part in the Great ShakeOut earthquake drill at 10:15 a.m. on Oct. 15, 2026. At that moment, millions of Californians will practice "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" for one minute. The ShakeOut is held on the third Thursday of October each year; it is the state's largest earthquake drill. The city also encourages residents to take inventory of emergency supplies and equipment.
