以《鬼妈妈》（Coraline）、《久保与二弦琴》（Kubo and the Two Strings）闻名的 Laika 工作室，其最新定格动画长片《Wildwood》定于10月23日在北美上映。

Laika's Stop-Motion Epic "Wildwood" Opens Oct. 23; Hailed by The Hollywood Reporter as Technical and Emotional Triumph
[GSM Entertainment, Oct. 11] Laika, the studio behind "Coraline" and "Kubo and the Two Strings," will release its newest stop-motion feature "Wildwood" in North American theaters on Oct. 23. According to The Hollywood Reporter's review, the ambitious stop-motion epic is "both a technical and emotional triumph."
Directed by Laika president and CEO Travis Knight, "Wildwood" adapts the 2011 YA fantasy novel by Decemberists frontman Colin Meloy (illustrated by his wife Carson Ellis). The film was nearly 15 years in the making, which Knight has called the studio's "hardest" film to make.
The story follows Prue McKeel, a headstrong teenager whose baby brother is carried off by a flock of crows. With her classmate Curtis, she ventures into the Impassable Wilderness, a secret and dangerously alive forest beyond Portland, on a rescue quest filled with talking animals, bandits and powerful figures, where an entire hidden realm hangs in the balance.
The voice cast includes Carey Mulligan, Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Jacob Tremblay, Mahershala Ali, Angela Bassett, Awkwafina and others. Fathom Entertainment handles the U.S. theatrical release.
