10月10日：加拿大唱作人、吉他手 Devin Townsend 选在世界心理健康日宣布全新专辑《Harmonic Dharma》，10月16日（周五）通过其助眠音乐计划 DreamPeace 在全平台上线流媒体。
DreamPeace 是 Townsend 受自身失眠困扰启发而创立的音乐计划，宗旨是用音乐帮助难以放松、无法安睡的人们。《Harmonic Dharma》此前仅在「Metamorphosis」巡演期间以限量 CD 形式发售，剩余版本先提供给他的 Patreon 会员，此次是首次全面数字发行。
Townsend 在声明中表示，上一张野心之作《The Moth》的创作与制作让他「身心俱疲」，完成后他闭关一个月重新找回平衡，而这张 DreamPeace 专辑正是那段心灵旅程的收获之一。他希望这张专辑「为焦虑的心灵提供配乐」，把曾治愈自己的平静传递给听众。
他同时坦言，《The Moth》的庞大制作让他陷入「财务末日」，Metamorphosis 巡演正是为了弥补亏损而办。从财务危机到助眠音乐，这位前卫金属老将的人生转折，都写进了这张新专辑里。
Devin Townsend Announces DreamPeace Sleep Album 'Harmonic Dharma,' Out Oct. 16
Oct. 10 — Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist Devin Townsend announced a new album on World Mental Health Day: 'Harmonic Dharma,' arriving Friday, Oct. 16 across streaming platforms under his DreamPeace banner.
DreamPeace is a project Townsend created inspired by his own insomnia, making music to encourage restful sleep, especially for those who struggle to relax. 'Harmonic Dharma' was previously available only as a limited-edition CD during his Metamorphosis tour, with remaining copies offered to his Patreon community — this marks its first wide digital release.
Townsend said making the ambitious 'The Moth' album took him to a mentally challenging place, and that after completing it he went on a month-long retreat to re-center himself. The DreamPeace album is one of the nourishing harvests of that spiritual journey, and he hopes it brings listeners the peace it brought him — 'a soundtrack for anxious minds.'
He has also been candid that 'The Moth' led him to 'financial Armageddon,' with the Metamorphosis tour staged to offset the losses. From financial crisis to sleep music, the prog-metal veteran's life turn is written into the new record.
