Federal Cost Share for Helene Recovery in South Carolina Raised to 90%
Governor Henry McMaster announced on October 8 that the federal cost share for FEMA Public Assistance after Hurricane Helene has been raised from 75% to 90%, reducing what state and local governments must pay. Eligible work includes debris removal, road and bridge repairs, public buildings, utilities and disaster management costs.
