MLS NEXT Unveils Record 2026-27 Season With 53,000 Players and Expanded National Events
MLS NEXT has announced key dates for its 2026-27 season, the youth platform's seventh and largest campaign, featuring more than 53,000 players, 2,743 teams and 310 clubs — including all 30 MLS academies — across more than 27,000 matches in the U.S. and Canada.
The calendar opens with MLS NEXT Talent ID from Oct. 9-12 in 13 MLS markets including Los Angeles, followed by MLS NEXT Fest in Mesa, Arizona, in December. The 2027 slate includes the Generation adidas Cup in Bradenton, Florida, MLS NEXT Flex in Atlanta and the MLS NEXT Cup in Cincinnati. The league says the events combine elite competition with exposure to professional, national-team and college scouts.
