Giant Recalls About 3,630 SureLock Bike Lock LED Keys Over Button Battery Risk
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that Giant Bicycle is recalling about 3,630 LED light keys included with SureLock bike lock sets. Children can easily open the keys and reach the button battery inside, which can cause serious internal burns or death if swallowed.
The locks were sold at authorized Giant dealers nationwide and online from March 2023 through August 2026 for about $25 to $65 across nine Protector and Flex Key models. No injuries have been reported. Owners should keep the LED keys away from children and follow the recall instructions. (Source: U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission)
