Abbott Touts Parental Rights Law and School Choice Plan at Dallas Summit
Texas Governor Abbott delivered remarks at the Joyful Warriors National Summit in Dallas on October 9. The summit was hosted by Moms for Liberty, and Abbott was introduced by the organization's co-founder, Tina Descovich.
Abbott delivered a speech titled "Welcome to Texas," outlining the state's approach to education and parental rights.
In his remarks, he highlighted three policies: Texas's parental rights law, the largest school choice plan in the nation, which took effect on the first day of school, and record pay raises for teachers.
