Maryland Lands $3.7 Billion Shipyard, Largest Private Investment in Over a Decade
Maryland Governor Wes Moore announced on Oct. 6 that Anduril Industries will invest $3.7 billion in Baltimore County to build Arsenal-2, a 2-million-square-foot software-defined shipyard. It is the largest single private investment and jobs announcement in Maryland in more than a decade, expected to support more than 14,000 jobs, including over 3,100 new permanent positions. The governor said the project will bring real income opportunities to local workers and families and strengthen the state's advanced manufacturing base.
