A suspected alcohol-related crash occurred in Lancaster at about 4:20 a.m. on October 8 at the intersection of Tenth Street West and Avenue K, leaving one person hospitalized and another in custody. According to a report from the scene, a man suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs was handcuffed and placed in a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department vehicle, while a second man was cut from the wreckage and taken by ambulance to Antelope Valley Medical Center. The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
