帝国海滩附近13人游泳越境企图被挫败 均已折返墨西哥
美国海关和边境保护局10月8日通报，边境巡逻队圣迭戈分局与海岸警卫队圣迭戈分局在帝国海滩附近挫败一起危险的海上越境企图。当晚8时40分，海岸警卫队无人机先发现九人向北游泳越过海上边界，照亮后一行人折返墨西哥；随后又发现四人同样折返。至当晚9时22分，13人均已返回墨西哥，无人出事。
13 Swimmers' Maritime Border Crossing Attempt Deterred Near Imperial Beach; All Return to Mexico
U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported on October 8 that the Border Patrol's San Diego Sector and the Coast Guard's San Diego Sector deterred a dangerous maritime border crossing attempt near Imperial Beach. At 8:40 p.m., a Coast Guard drone team detected nine people swimming north across the maritime boundary; after the drone illuminated them, the group turned south and returned to Mexico. Minutes later, four more swimmers were detected and also turned back. By 9:22 p.m., all 13 people had returned to Mexico without incident.
