恩西尼塔斯市拉科斯塔高地小学五年级教师凯蒂·安丹被评为2027年度加州年度教师之一（共五人）。她引导学生研究本地议题并向州议员陈述，其中一堂课因关注特殊教育项目学生无法充分使用操场，推动形成了《包容性操场法案》AB 2241，并已于9月签署成法。她将代表加州角逐全国年度教师。
Encinitas Teacher Katie Andan Named California Teacher of the Year; Classroom Project Led to Inclusive Playground Law
Katie Andan, a fifth-grade teacher at La Costa Heights Elementary School in Encinitas, has been named one of the five 2027 California Teachers of the Year. She has guided her students in researching local issues and presenting their findings to state lawmakers; one class project, prompted by concern that students in the special education program could not fully use their playground, led to the Inclusive Playground Act, AB 2241, which was signed into law in September. She will represent California in the competition for National Teacher of the Year.
