第167届密西西比州博览会开幕，主题呼应美国250周年
据《克拉里昂纪事报》报道，第167届密西西比州博览会10月8日在杰克逊博览会场开幕，持续至10月18日，主题为“让自由之声响彻！”（Let Freedom Ring!），呼应美国建国250周年（America250）。
位于密西西比街207号的博览会场设有60多项游乐设施和100多家食品摊位。说唱歌手Flo Rida定于10月15日晚7点在体育馆演出。今年的新品美食包括“牛腩饼干”（Brisket Biscuit）。
州卫生厅10月8日通报，已完成对博览会全部食品摊位的检查。正在竞选州长的农业厅长安迪·吉普森欢迎民众参加这一年度盛会。
门票10美元，工作日下午1点前免费入场，5岁以下儿童免费。
167th Mississippi State Fair Opens in Jackson With 'Let Freedom Ring!' Theme
The 167th Mississippi State Fair opened October 8 at the Fairgrounds in Jackson, running through October 18 under the theme "Let Freedom Ring!" in honor of America250, the Clarion Ledger reported.
The fairgrounds at 207 Mississippi Street feature more than 60 rides and over 100 food vendors. Rapper Flo Rida is scheduled to perform at the Coliseum on October 15 at 7 p.m. New food items this year include the "Brisket Biscuit."
The Mississippi State Department of Health announced October 8 that inspectors have checked all food vendors at the fair. Agriculture Commissioner Andy Gipson, who is running for governor, welcomed fairgoers to the annual event.
Admission is $10, with free entry before 1 p.m. on weekdays and free admission for children 5 and under.
