联邦法警在楠塔基特抓获涉嫌贩卖儿童逃犯，当天过堂不得保释
据美国法警局10月8日发布的新闻稿，联邦法警当天清晨在马萨诸塞州楠塔基特逮捕了一名涉嫌贩卖儿童的逃犯。
40岁的里戈贝托·查韦斯-雷加尔多于2026年10月8日上午在楠塔基特被捕。据马萨诸塞州联邦法警辖区通报，他涉嫌在布罗克顿及马萨诸塞州东部其他地区从事与贩卖未成年人有关的犯罪活动。
查韦斯在普利茅斯县被控多项罪名，包括有偿性行为（两项）、严重强奸致严重身体伤害、严重法定强奸儿童、以暴力强奸儿童、为性奴役贩卖人口（两项）、对14岁以上人士猥亵殴打、向21岁以下人士售酒，以及引诱16岁以下儿童。
他于当天晚些时候在布罗克顿地区法院过堂。普利茅斯县地方检察官办公室申请举行危险性听证，查韦斯目前不得保释，将于10月13日（周二）出庭参加听证。
此次逮捕是多部门联合行动的结果，参与单位包括联邦法警马萨诸塞州逃犯专案组、布罗克顿警察局、马萨诸塞州州警暴力逃犯缉捕组及空中支援队、楠塔基特警察局。法警局表示，嫌疑人被捕时未发生意外，州警空中支援队的快速反应对安全抓捕起到关键作用。
U.S. Marshals Arrest Fugitive Wanted for Child Trafficking in Nantucket
The U.S. Marshals Service announced the arrest in Nantucket, Massachusetts, of a fugitive wanted on child trafficking charges, in a press release issued October 8.
Rigoberto Chavez-Regaldo, 40, was arrested in the morning hours of October 8, 2026, in connection with alleged criminal activity in Brockton and elsewhere in Eastern Massachusetts involving the trafficking of minors, according to the U.S. Marshals Service District of Massachusetts.
Chavez was charged in Plymouth County with Sexual Conduct for a Fee (two counts), Aggravated Rape - Serious Bodily Injury, Aggravated Statutory Rape of a Child, Rape of a Child with Force, Trafficking Person for Sexual Servitude (two counts), Indecent Assault and Battery on a person over 14, Sell/Deliver Liquor to a person under 21, and Enticing a Child under 16.
He was arraigned in Brockton District Court late that day. The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office moved for a dangerousness hearing, and Chavez is being held without bail pending the hearing on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
The arrest was the result of a coordinated effort by the USMS District of Massachusetts Fugitive Task Force, Brockton Police, the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and Air Wing, and Nantucket Police. The Marshals Service said the suspect was arrested without incident and credited the rapid response of the State Police Air Wing as critical to the safe apprehension.
