DOJ Antitrust Division Closes Investigation of Arrive AS's Proposed Acquisition of Passport Labs
The Justice Department's Antitrust Division said in a statement on Oct. 8 that it has closed its investigation of Arrive AS's proposed acquisition of Passport Labs Inc., bringing the federal antitrust review of the proposed deal to an end. The Antitrust Division is the Justice Department's competition-enforcement arm, and mergers that may lessen competition generally must clear its review before they can close. With the investigation closed, the federal review process for this acquisition is complete; the statement did not address the companies' next steps.
