70 Million Children Auto-Enrolled in Trump Accounts; Dells to Give $250 to 25 Million Kids
<p>According to the White House and the Treasury Department on October 7, every child under 18 with a Social Security number has now been automatically enrolled in a "Trump Account," bringing the total to roughly 70 million accounts.</p><p>Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell and his wife Susan have pledged $6.25 billion to deposit $250 into the accounts of about 25 million eligible children, with the money arriving this week; funds are invested by default in an S&P 500 index fund. Parents must still claim their child's account through the official app before they can manage it or add contributions, and children born between 2025 and 2028 also qualify for a one-time $1,000 federal seed contribution.</p>
