蔡英文卸任后首度访美：斯坦福演讲谈中国“灰色地带”施压

Taiwan's Tsai Ing-wen, on First Post-Presidency U.S. Trip, Warns at Stanford of China's Grey-Zone Pressure
Former Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen delivered a keynote Oct. 7 at a Stanford University technology-and-national-security conference, her first U.S. trip since leaving office in 2024. She said Taiwan faces "particularly pressing" security challenges: daily cyberattacks, cognitive warfare and information manipulation, economic coercion, and normalized PLA air and naval activity plus increased coast-guard presence, "grey-zone" tactics aimed at changing the security environment without open conflict. China's embassy in Washington reiterated this week its firm opposition to official U.S.-Taiwan exchanges. Tsai is also scheduled to speak at the Hoover Institution on Oct. 8.
